Dinámica del sistema migratorio argentino-paraguayo

Originally based in areas of common border and the Argentine coast, Paraguayan migration to this country is fused in the industrialization phase of the mid-twentieth century that activates the cycle of internal migration from the provinces to the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires, simultaneously with The civil war of 1947 and the dictatorship stronista, impelling an emigration process towards the Argentina that holds until the present. The Paraguayan economic and social-labor structure has been ordered in recent years according to an agrarian export model of commodities, with an inequitable distribution of income, low employability and high underemployment. The type of labor insertion that exists in that country is replicated by the diaspora in Argentina, where the employment of men in items such as construction and women in family homes, to name a few, reproduce similar subsistence dynamics Sectors of Paraguay. Next, we will offer a case from which to resume the discussion on the MERCOSUR Citizenship. We will demonstrate that the existence of a regionalization of the long-standing Paraguayan migratory dynamics overlaps with local particularisms, evidencing a network of migration interactions whose dynamics is constituted by the functioning of a variety of networks that unite actors at different levels of Aggregation and that unfolds from the Paraguay to the great urban centers of Argentina, with own logics that, in short, respond to a past, present and a common future.
